Drehobl's Chicken Cow on Thrasher Classis
It's hard to find a Thrasher video that Dan Drehobl didn't at least have a few clips in, but out of them all, I'm gonna have to go with his part in Hall Of Meat as my favorite. This 1999 part introduced the late Wesley Willis to me, and with tricks like wrap-arounds and dumptrucks to fakie in the Vagabond? You pick a better nomination for a Classic. —Schmitty

How is the Blueprint video coming along?
Its coming! They are saying December but you know how things go. The deadline is September so I'm just getting whatever else i can get before times up. This is my first full video part in a major skate video so I'ts crazy to think that its almost over because i feel like we have all been working on it for so long. Should be good though, I'm really excited for it.
It seems like Blueprint is in a really great place right now. The video is coming out and you guys are adding riders. How psyched is everybody on the squad?
Yah it is, we are really pushing it harder than ever now. Trying to expand it a lot more in the US. We just put on Marty Murawski, the second American. He just stayed at my house for the last two weeks to film a little section for the video. I'm stoked, should be good.

You recently got to meet the Elwood team at the Orchard stop on the Dressin for Recession tour. How was that?
Good man, im always stoked when people come to town because it doesn't happen that often. Especially a team like Elwood. Boston gets slept on as far as skating goes and its good when people appreciate it. Its refreshing just hearing Kenny talk about skating Boston back in day.
There was a bbq at my apartment during the Elwood tour that had a bunch of different crews joining up to chow down. We had the Elwood team, the Habitat crew was in the mix, and the Blueprint guys were all around. Have you ever seen anything like that before in sleepy Dorchester, MA ?
Nah Never. Definitely stoked, but it wasn't like it was weird or anything. It was just like a bunch of dudes hangin out. I think everyone had a good time. Its sick that Rattray, Magee and Baines could all reunite.

I’m going to put you on the spot here. Who is your favorite Elwood team rider!?
Well, I've always been a fan of Pappalardo so im going to have to go with Pops.
Thanks for sitting down and doing this Kevin. What are your plans for the rest of 2009 and into 2010?
Just keeping the ball rolling. I'm going to school in the Fall part time. Just taking a few classes to keep me on my toes. Then in the winter, trying to take a few months off just to travel and skate. Blueprint is tryin to do a short little promo video after "Make Friends with the Colour Blue". So hopefully we can do a couple trips for that. We'll see, just living the moment for now. Peace!
